West coast transplants, accustomed to filling up on teriyaki on a weekly basis, have long wondered why the teriyaki shop, ubiquitous through out the Pacific Northwest, hasn’t caught on in the Midwest. Now the search is over. The sweet soy marinaded meat, scented with ginger and charred on the grill is served over a bed of steamed rice with a simple salad of iceberg lettuce.
